One of the latest research projects undertaking in this field was made by a doctorate student at Cornel University, who after observing a total of 27 million poker hands arrived to the conclusion that the more poker pots won, the lower the probability of increasing the amount of money obtained. The study concluded that this phenomenon was due to the fact that as a general rule when poker players won a lot of pots, those used to be quite small. However, at the same time, when they lose money, the amounts used to be high.

Therefore, players must control their emotions and enthusiasm after having won a lot of pots and calculate how much money have they really got!
